Detail of a built in bookcase in this 1911 Arts and Crafts home. Design by Maison, Montclair, NJ. We faithfully reproduced the baseboard and crown and wrapped them around the unit to give it that authentic built-in and original look.

It doesn't get more built-in than this! Not only did we wrap the baseboard, but this custom entertainment unit is literally built-in, that is, set flush with the wall of the family room.

Cabinets and mantle shelf in this 1930s Colonial in Glen Ridge, NJ. The idea was to hide away the todders' toys and audio easily and in style (see insert). To maximize the storage we converted the normally dead space behind the tall matching baseboard into a drawer!
